Ben works with SMEs, contractors, and landlords, providing support with VAT, Self-Assessment tax returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts. He is especially passionate about helping clients gain a clearer understanding of their finances through granular and systematic analysis of their data.
Ben began his accountancy career in 2018 by completing AAT Level 2 before joining Naked Accounting in 2019. He went on to complete AAT Levels 3 and 4 and began his ACA training in 2023, with the goal of qualifying as a Chartered Accountant by the end of 2026.
He enjoys making clients’ lives easier, solving financial challenges, and working as part of a close-knit, supportive team. One piece of advice Ben often gives clients is to upload all their documents to the system as doing so can sometimes save a significant amount on VAT.
Ben is particularly proud of completing AAT Level 4, achieving ACA Certificate Level, and volunteering his time to support the first Pride in Coalville event with bookkeeping, compliance, and financial planning.
He values the firm’s expertise in Xero, its tailored advice, and its personal approach compared to larger firms. With Making Tax Digital on the horizon, Ben and the team are already well-prepared to help clients stay compliant.
Outside of work, Ben enjoys hiking in the Peak District and Lake District, bouldering, volunteering at his local food bank, and spending time on hobbies such as baking, crocheting, video games, and exploring new places with friends.
